Normally, our architect fees are based on a percentage of the construction cost.
Larger and more complicated projects will general cost more and involve more work for us. We would see this reflected in an increase in our overall fee.
The percentages follow the RIAS (Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland) suggested fees scale and will vary between 8-14% depending on the classification of the job type and whether it is a new or existing building.
Where the scope of work at the outset is more defined, then in some instances we can provide a fixed fee for a project or a specific workstage.
